  • swatches
  • hole punch
  • stamps
  • ink
  • ribbon

You can pick up swatches at your local hardware store for free, but don’t be the jerk who takes stacks and stacks of them. Just choose a couple color combos you enjoy.

Take your ink pad and stamps and begin creatively decorating your paint swatch. You can make your design as simple or as intricate as you’d desire. Use different combinations of stamps together. Mix it up and make it fun.

After your ink is dry, use the hole punch to create a hole at the top of your soon-to-be bookmark. Then take a piece of fun ribbon and fold it in half. Run the middle of the ribbon, where you’ve formed the fold, through the hole. Then you will take the ends of the ribbon over the top of the bookmark and slip the ends through the fold. Pull until your ribbon is snug around the bookmark.

Easy as A-B-C . . . you’ve created a homemade, snazzy bookmark. Now go curl up in your favorite nook and read that novel you love. You deserve some “me” time.
